A 29-year-old law student marries an 80-year-old pensioner, who has grandchildren the same age as her and says their love is “raw and beautiful” despite their 51-year age difference.

Terzel Rasmus, 29, from Cape Town, South Africa, met Wilson Rasmus, 80, in 2016 at a local newspaper event and
she has fallen madly in love, and although her husband has grandchildren her age, she says her love is true.
The law student says they had a mutual attraction and started dating immediately.
Wilson wished he had a younger wife, thinking that she would take care of him in his old age.
Meanwhile, Terzel benefits from her husband’s wisdom and life experience.
Her mother and late father had given their approval and the lovebirds got married after a year with a small ceremony and with Wilson’s 56-year-old daughter as witness.
Wilson’s daughter and her daughter’s husband live with them, financially supporting Terzel’s studies. “Wilson literally came into my life,” Terzel said.
“We met at a local newspaper dance where I was a reporter on duty, so I was taking photos for the event.”
When I finished work, I settled down to enjoy the dance and Wilson walked across the dance floor to where I was sitting and he asked if he could sit next to me. He had noticed that I was alone and thought that we could share our company.”
