Ami Nepomuceno dreamed of becoming a nurse; the girl was prepared for the fact that she would have to study a lot and very hard. But she was not prepared for the surprises that her final year brought her.
The most challenging part was due to the pandemic: studies shifted partially to a remote format, teachers were stressed, knowledge was difficult to grasp, and the loneliness and uncertainty were overwhelming.
Ami couldn’t predict what awaited her after obtaining her degree – perhaps a nursing job in a hospital? It was also hard to know if the graduation ceremony would take place under strict isolation conditions.
Fortunately, she had a reliable friendly shoulder. And every time stress loomed over her head, the student only had to look at her friend – and the fears and excitement would fade away.
The charming Corgi Speaks was always ready to offer his beloved mistress moral support and a gentle helping paw.
You could walk with him to dissipate troubling thoughts, you could cuddle and hold him as much as you wanted, and a glance at his lovely snout was enough to bring a smile to a friend’s face.
Without Speaks, the young girl would never have been able to overcome the graduation year. The dog deserved gratitude, and the girl found a way to thank her friend. At the graduation ceremony, Ami invited the corgi to join her.
Of course, appropriate attire was needed – and for Speaks, a charming academic cap was found to match what his mistress wore. Instead of the graduate’s robe, he was adorned with a scarf bearing the university’s name and the year – 2021.
The graduation ceremony was supposed to mark the milestone achieved by the young girl, her great accomplishment.
However, considering the serious contribution that Corgi made to the hostess’s success, his participation was only fair. “I love every bit of it,” said Ami.
