Having learned the secret of her and her brother’s birth, Anna Hipkin was discouraged. She told subscribers about it on her page in TT.
“What, if you accidentally discover over your divorced parents’ dinner that your 13 year old brother is actually your twin, only you’re already 19? »
Users barely understood the blogger’s message. After all, everyone knows that twins are children born as a result of conception, pregnancy and with a difference, as a rule, of a few minutes. How twins can be born in such a long period of time is unclear.
The girl had to explain everything in more detail in the second video. She and her younger brother were born using IVF technology. Specifically, successful cell fertilization occurred during the same treatment cycle.
But the future mother decided not to take risks: first she would carry one little one, and after a while, when she was ready for pregnancy again, she would give a second one.
And the second embryo was subjected to cryopreservation, that is, it was sent for storage in a special freezer.
“We were both born via IVF. This means that we were both conceived in a test tube, then I was placed back into my mother, and my brother, still as an embryo, was placed in a freezer for five years.
Therefore, there is a five-year difference between us: I am 19 and he is 13, almost 14. It is clear that we are not identical twins, but biologically we are twins,” declared the young girl.
Anna Hipkin’s story left no one indifferent. But the commenters decided to argue with her about the fact that she and her brother, by biological standards, are twins.
Simultaneous conception following an IVF procedure does not mean that the babies will be twins.
