Andrew Jones has always been a very active guy; he loves sports and couldn’t go a day without training.
And it seems like such a person should have genuinely heroic health. However, reality turned out quite differently.
One day, the young man started choking while jogging.
And it gradually got worse. Eventually, he was hospitalized.
After numerous examinations, it turned out that Andrew was suffering from an inherited condition called cardiomyopathy – a pathology that disrupts blood circulation.
He was so unwell that he couldn’t even get out of bed, let alone engage in the training sessions he used to do without thinking.
Andrew urgently needed a heart transplant. He began the search for a donor.
But to survive the transplant, he was temporarily connected to a pacemaker.
Now, he lived while waiting for a donor with a heart that he carried in a backpack, which needed charging from an electrical outlet every night.
But Andrew didn’t give up when all hope seemed lost. Even with a heart that needed nightly recharging, he began returning to his training.
Over time, he fully committed himself and even regained his old form.
Several months later, he was still waiting for his transplant. Andrew remained determined, never losing hope.
