I wanted to become a teacher since childhood. Noelia’s wish came true! At 31 years old, she became the first Argentine kindergarten teacher with Down syndrome.

Despite facing several disappointments, Noelia continued to pursue her ambitions. Noelia recalls feeling uncomfortable at school when she was a child.

Fortunately for Noelia, a director believed in her. We quickly realized that she had a strong vocation, said Alejandra Senestrari.

Noelia persevered and won over the community despite initial opposition. Alejandra said: Over time, even those who had opposed her joined the initiative to hire Noe as a teacher.

Noelia, a humble teaching assistant since 2012, was promoted to a classroom teacher. Like her, Noelia has enormous goals for her students.
