The adoptive mother of 3-year-old Michael Brown revealed that she had not initially planned to adopt him.
However, after spending some time with the child, she made the decision to reconsider her plans.
The photo of Michael’s reaction upon hearing the news of his adoption garnered over 150,000 likes on Twitter.
Recently, Michael participated in the foster care training program.
This is a system where children in need of care are temporarily placed in foster homes and all expenses are fully paid by the state.
In February 2015, Tara Montgomery willingly agreed to take care of the boy when he was 18 months old.
From that moment on, she raised him alongside her daughters.
As previously mentioned, there was no mention of adoption initially.
It was hoped that after some time, Michael would reunite with his biological mother.
But in the end, she was ultimately stripped of her parental rights.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Michael shared that she was a single mother and had no intention of adopting the little boy.
But he completely changed her life and her plans. From the beginning, she felt that the child was part of her family.
In the morning, when he woke up, he would run to Michael and say, “Mommy, I’m so happy.”
