Prince and Love Zalte were born on September 19, 2016, in a maternity hospital in Mumbai, India. Their mother, Shetal, learned during the fifth month of her pregnancy that they were conjoined twins.
Not knowing whether it would be possible to separate them, the Zalte family began saving money for the upcoming procedure.
After the birth of Prince and Love, they underwent careful examinations. Several experts immediately concluded that they could be separated after some time.
Chetal and Sagar never doubted their decision to separate the children. They went to the best clinic they could afford.
When the brothers turned one, a team of specialists began extensive preparations for the separation. The entire process lasted about two months. The actual procedure was scheduled for December 12, 2017.
For 12 hours, 30 specialists worked to give Prince and Love a new lease on life. It was only in the morning that Dr. Shakuntala Prabhu blessed their parents with good news: “Everything went well!”
As they became independent from each other, the children had to learn a lot. Under the supervision of specialists, they learned to crawl, stand, and walk.
The children took their first independent steps at the age of two. For a whole year, doctors closely monitored Prince and Love.
During this time, they almost became like a family to each other. On the first anniversary of their separation, the entire clinic team went to the Zalte family’s home to celebrate this happy occasion with a cup of tea and a slice of birthday cake.
The separation of the conjoined twins was a significant step in the clinic’s development. Today, it is one of the country’s leading institutions dealing with such cases.
Now, the twins, who were separated in 2017, are almost 4 years old. The children lead very active lives and are hardly different from their peers.
The brothers spend most of their time together. They experience the same emotions and have identical tastes and preferences.
This is not surprising at all, considering that barely two and a half years ago, they were practically one.
The children love playing ball and dream of becoming professional athletes when they grow up.
The most important thing is that they are in perfect health and happy. Let us wish them good luck and much success in all their endeavors!
