This 97-year-old grandmother from Houston, Texas, maintains her health by walking a mile every day, and she was looking forward to her latest grandson’s wedding. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer.
In November 2020, Tennie was diagnosed with breast cancer, as the entire world faced the peak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite these challenges, her determination to attend the wedding in South Carolina became a source of strength that helped her get through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Tennie shared that her determination to attend the wedding was strengthened by the fact that she had previously been present at the weddings of her three grandchildren.
This was a powerful source of motivation for her, and she expressed gratitude for being able to enjoy this event without serious health problems.
Everything went well, and now she hopes her story will inspire others, even at the age of 90, to not give up in the face of cancer.
