Alex, a TikTok user, recently shared a video in which she talked about how she and her parents organized a graduation party for their Labrador named Ollie.
Alex and her family had dreamed of having a dog for many years, and when Ollie finally came into their home, they simply couldn’t get enough of him.
Everyone treated him like another child, not just a pet.
“Ollie has always been treated like another child by my parents. My sister and I often joke that he’s their favorite.
We brought Ollie home around the time my sister went off to college, so he’s really the new baby of my parents.
Ollie is a beloved family member. Our friends even tease us because we’re all obsessed with him,” explained Alex.
When Alex’s college graduation was canceled due to the pandemic, her parents organized a party for her at home.
While taking commemorative photos, Alex and her parents realized that she and her sister had graduation photos, but not their third “child.”
So, they decided to make Ollie a graduate in style: they dressed him up, gave him his own diploma, and took a photo for posterity.
The prom and photoshoot turned out to be a lot of fun, but Alex eventually forgot about Ollie’s photo until the day she came home and saw his picture hanging on the wall.
“I forgot about the photograph until my mom and dad printed out my prom photos.
They also printed Ollie’s photo without telling me. My sister and I laughed a lot when we saw Ollie’s graduation photo on the wall next to our photos,” Alex shared.
