Scientists from two higher education institutions, the University of Montfort in Leicester, England, and Ulster in Ireland, analyzed the behaviors of 570 individuals between 17 and 25 years old.

The scientists concluded that those who had sisters had been encouraged by their sisters in their youth to express their emotions more.
This would have allowed them to develop a more positive outlook on life.
Researcher Tonny Casidy, who led the study, said, “Sisters seem to promote more open communication and stronger family bonds.”
He continued, “Explaining feelings is crucial for a good psychological balance, and having sisters can make a difference in a family.”
It turns out that brothers have the opposite effect. “It is possible that boys have an intrinsic tendency not to discuss subjects,” said Casidy.
