As she couldn’t distinguish her identical twins, a mother had to have their fingerprints taken at the police station.
After seeking help from the police to identify her children, Sofi Rodriguez jokingly tweeted about winning the “Mother of the Year” award.
The Argentine mother’s revelation sparked many comments from other twins and parents who shared similar experiences on how they distinguished their children.
“In pictures, they appear different, but it’s because they come from different angles or the lighting… in person, they are identical.”
Sofi said the police thought they could use vaccines to identify the infants. However, doctors accidentally vaccinated one baby twice.
She said she wanted to pierce her children’s ears and have them wear earrings of different colors, which is a custom in Argentina, but nurses in New York couldn’t pierce the infants’ ears.
She kept the hospital’s “Baby A” and “Baby B” bracelet tags.
Conz encouraged Sofi and told her that things would get better. She advised placing one baby on the left and one on the right side of the crib.
Allison also suggested choosing sides of the stroller.
